Forecaster River Jobsheets

Following Up a River Flood Event: Completion Time ~ 5 min

Purpose:

In this jobsheet you will follow-up a river flood event by running the River Flood Recommender (RFR) to trigger updating the obs and forecast data for the whole HSA. You will select your desired rivers to update from all the recommended events. This jobsheet should be done with CAVE in practice mode after the local focal has configured Hazard Services and prepared default short-fused and long-fused hydro warnings.

Tasks:

  1. This jobsheet requires an existing flood product to have been issued (see Creating River Flood jobsheet if needed).
  2. Run the River Flood Recommender, either in full using "Create/update/end hazards for chosen river points" or just refresh the data using "Refresh existing hazards for chosen river points" so that Hazard Services updates the data in the product.
  3. In the Console, select an existing river flood hazard and click "Preview".
  4. In the Product Staging dialog, change the Calls to Action for the product and click "Continue".
  5. For the FL.W product in this example, the FLS tab indicates the flood statement for the follow up. Modify any text in the Product Editor and click "Issue All".
  6. Click “Issue” when the “Live Active Product” dialog opens.
