Availability of Station-based LAMP guidance

 

Hourly LAMP guidance is currently available for nominal cycle times of 30 minutes past each hour (e.g., 0030, 0130, ..., 2230, 2330 UTC). For the elements of categorical ceiling height and visibility, guidance is produced every 15 minutes for nominal cycles times of HH:00, HH:15, HH:30, and HH:45, for hourly projections out to 3 hours, and for 15-minute periods out to six hours (for High Impact Weather C&V).

 

Table 1 : Projections for which the hourly LAMP guidance for temperature, dewpoint, winds, probability of precipitation occurring on the hour, best category forecasts for precipitation occurring on the hour, precipitation type, total sky cover, ceiling height, conditional ceiling height, visibility, conditional visibility, and obstruction to vision forecasts are issued.

Every 6-h out to 38 hours, starting in the first full 6-hour period in the forecast range and ending at the synoptic times of 00, 06, 12, and 18 UTC.

Probability of Precipitation in a 12-h period

Every 6-h out to 38 hours, starting in the first full 12-hour period in the forecast range and ending at the synoptic times of 00, 06, 12, and 18 UTC.

Precipitation Type

Every 1-h from 1 to 25 hours

Total Sky Cover

Every 1-h from 1 to 38 hours

Ceiling Height

Every 1-h from 1 to 38 hours

Conditional Ceiling Height

Every 1-h from 1 to 38 hours

Visibility

Every 1-h from 1 to 38 hours

Conditional Visibility

Every 1-h from 1 to 38 hours

Obstruction to Vision
