Information regarding LAMP and Gridded LAMP Data on NCEP Web Services


The GFS-LAMP guidance is currently available every hour.

The GFS LAMP station guidance is available in the following formats: ASCII text bulletin and BUFR format. The Gridded LAMP guidance is available in GRIB2 format. 

The guidance is available on the LAMP web site https://vlab.noaa.gov/web/mdl/lamp. The GFS LAMP products are also available via NCEP web services. The details for retrieving the data from NCEP web services can be found in the tables below.

*Note that the GLMP ceiling height and visibility GRIB2 data on the NOMADS cover the full CONUS domain through 17 hours, and the covering is clipped to the CONUS, Canada, and near-shore waters beyond 17 hours due to a lack of skill in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and the Gulf of Mexico at those projections.
