The short-range text messages (MCG) contains maximum and minimum temperatures for 1 to 4 days from the 0000, 0600, 1200, and 1800 UTC GFS model runs. The extended-range text message (MCX) contains maximum and minimum temperature forecasts for 1 to 8 days from the 0000 UTC and 1200 GFS model runs.

Messages can be found on NWS FTP Server. The files can be found in following directory/filename structure, where YYYYMMDD is the run datestamp, and the CC is the cycle.
