Using the AFOS Browser to Load an Area Forecast Discussion - OCLO

Assumptions:

• You have the text workstation loaded (see previous Task)
• There is currently an AFD product in your local AWIPS-2 database.

1. Select an open text window (or open a new text window) on the AWIPS-2 workstation.
2. Left-click on the AFOS Browser button from the text window toolbar.                                                                 
3. In the Text Browser, select the Origin for the part of the country you are desiring (e.g. Central for WES-2 Bridge test case).
4. In the Text Browser, select the Node from the first column for the product you want to display. (e.g. OKC).
5. In the second column, select the Product Category for the product you want to display (e.g. AFD).
6. In the third column, select the Office Designator for the product you want to display (e.g. OUN).
7. In the fourth column, select the time for the product you want to display (e.g. 05:15 Jun 01).
8. Left-click on the Load and Close button (or the Load and Continue button if you want to load other text products after this example).                                                                                                                                                                         
9. Task Complete!
