Purpose:
This task demonstrates how to load the AWIPS System Monitor and how to navigate to the detailed listing in the AWIPS Data Monitor.Tasks:
Note: The AWIPS Data Monitor is only available on a live AWIPS workstation.
- Under the Redhat icon on the AWIPS-2 workstation left-click on the Internet menu and select the Firefox Web Browser.
- The AWIPS System Monitor is the home page for the browser on an AWIPS Workstation (URL is http://pv1/index.php).
- Note: The default web page has changed at many sites, and there is a ticket to fix this. The URL for the data monitor used to http://px1f/index.php but changed to http://pv1/index.php
- The AWIPS Data Monitor will load by default as the primary monitor shown.
- The AWIPS System Monitor is the home page for the browser on an AWIPS Workstation (URL is http://pv1/index.php).
- Examine the data sets listed in the upper left-hand portion of the browser window to determine which, if any, of the data sets do not have a green check mark.
- To view a detailed listing for a particular data set, left-click on the plus sign (“+”) for that category.
- In the detailed listing that appears, examine the individual data product categories to determine which products are having a problem.
- Task Complete!
