Interact with the Inventory in the D2D Skewt Standard Screen Configuration and Use Keyboard Shortcuts
Purpose:
This task covers interacting with the inventory in the D2D Configuration and using the keyboard shortcuts.Tasks:
- From the Upper Air menu, select a sounding from the RAOB section.
- In the Nsharp control buttons window: left-click on the Configure button.
- In the Nsharp Configuration window: left-click on the Display Pane Configuration button.
- In the Nsharp Pane Configuration Selection window: from the pulldown menu, select D2D Skewt Standard Screen Configuration.
- Left-click on the Apply button, then left-click the Close buttons on the Nsharp Pane Configuration Selection and Nsharp Configuration windows.
- In the upper-right part of the display you will see times (e.g. 31.18(Fri) for 18z on Fri the 31st), stations (e.g. KOUN), and sources (e.g. BUFRUA for RAOB)
- The text in green indicates the currently loaded sounding.
- Step through the multiple times by using the the left or right arrow keys on the keyboard and watch the color of the current (green) text displayed in the times column.
- Left-click on the yellow text time in the table in the upper right to display the sounding at that time.
- The text will change to green indicating it is the current time displayed.
- From the Upper Air menu, select an additional sounding from the RAOB section.
- Step through the multiple stations by using the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard and then by left-clicking on the yellow text in the station column and watch the color of the current (green) station text displayed in the station column.
- Note if you load different sources (e.g. Nam/GFS), you can also switch between sources by left-clicking on them or by using the shift up and down arrow keys.
- Hover the mouse pointer over the Skew-T and press the Shift + Z buttons to change the magnification of the cursor readout text. Repeat to cycle through all magnification setting.
