The Isaac M. Cline Award is presented to individuals and teams who have made significant contributions in support of the National Weather Service. The award is named in honor of Isaac M. Cline, one of the most recognized employees in National Weather Service history.

 

The award winners are:

 

Data Acquisition Management

Matthew Sardi, Jeffrey Lewitsky and Andy Latto (National Centers for Environmental Prediction)

For developing a webpage to provide gridded marine forecasts to users utilizing low bandwidth

 

Equal Employment Opportunity/Diversity Management

Krizia Negron Hernandez (Southern Region)

For Spanish translation of warning/preparedness information for offices throughout the NWS, which has furthered the mission and provided improvements in customer support

 

Engineering, Electronics, or Facilities

Michael Ryan (Southern Region)

For resolving a potentially disastrous situation for the NWS and developing new technologies in support of a Weather Ready Nation (WRN) and the strategic goals of the Department of Commerce

For advancement of the NWS marine program through mission-critical customer service, developing a whole-office approach to DSS, and the completion of projects and research

 

Meteorology
