The Network and Satellite Infrastructure Branch is responsible for managing and overseeing the telecommunications and satellite infrastructure requirements of the National Weather Service.  These modes of communication and dissemination ensure the timely delivery of National Weather Service watches, warnings and advisories as well as the dissemination of weather, water, and climate data.  The Branch is responsible for programming and planning of all existing and new telecommunication and satellite requirements. The Branch conducts analyses and recommends priorities to senior NWS Management after receiving requirements, feedback and other input from regional NWS offices and external partners as well as federal, state, and local agencies. The Branch coordinates and partners with other NWS portfolios if the programmatic responsibility for the telecommunications or satellite infrastructure resides in that portfolio or if there are policy changes required.
