Q: Who can contribute to the STOR blog?

A: Any NOAA employee that can access the STOR VLAB page may contribute.

Q: What type of content should I contribute to the STOR blog?

A: Operational use examples of GOES-16/17 and JPSS data. A post may detail how a forecaster utilized a certain product, band, or image combination to complete a task or identify a feature. These can be as simple as a couple sentences and an image or gif, to as detailed as several paragraphs and images/gifs. If it is a satellite-related topic you think other NWS operational folks may find interesting/enlightening, go ahead and post!

Q: What is the file size limit?

A: Unfortunately, the size limit is 5 mb, which does make it difficult to post gif animations. However, we still encourage to post images and animations as best you can.
