"Central Region has moved forward using a strong partnership between management and labor, through the Regional Labor Council (RLC). This cooperative approach has empowered NWS employees across many field offices and the Regional Headquarters, from numerous job profiles ranging from operational forecasters and information technology officers (ITOs), to field managers and regional division chiefs, to make meaningful, significant contributions toward a group perspective on the agency’s future. Three regional teams, chartered under the RLC, have collaborated to bring forth a two-year vision of activities and accomplishments intended to move NWS forward in its efforts to meet the needs of a Weather-Ready Nation." Multiple regional efforts and teams will contribute to addressing three cornerstones to Evolve NWS including 1) Cultural Evolution, 2) Forecast Evolution, 3) Service Evolution.   These efforts will move forward in a coordinated fashion to ensure effective and successful implementation of roadmap initiatives.
