Major Themes & Inititvies
"The Central Region Weather-Ready Nation Roadmap (CR WRN Roadmap) captures the next iteration of ideas and concepts, coordinated and designed to evolve NWS science and technology advancements into improved services for all NWS customers. The Roadmap focuses around six key themes:
• Cataloguing the major science, technology and service initiatives planned for Central Region offices in Fiscal Years 2018 and 2019, along with key vision statements related to these initiatives.
• Describing the key tools and technologies required to achieve these initiatives.
• Establishing the concepts of a Common Operations Approach and Operations Tempo to assist in shift management and service delivery.
• Outlining key enhancements to existing services, and introducing new services.
• Building upon key partnerships, and providing outreach and education.
• Enhancing training opportunities for all NWS staff, and accelerating key components of Research to Operations (R2O/O2R).
A collective “Whole Office” effort will leverage the skill and experience of all employees to accomplish these themes. Value-added information utilizing the expertise of the entire staff will be critical to serving Core Partners, Deep Relationship Core Partners (hereafter referred to as Core and Deep Relationship Core Partners), and the general public."
