Community Hydrologic Prediction System (CHPS) Documentation
CHPS is a collection of software packages tailored to meet the National Weather Service (NWS) River Forecast Centers (RFCs) operational requirements. In general it comprises a set of infrastructure software, a specific suite of hydrologic and hydraulic software models, and a set of custom RFC configurations.
System Components
- OHD-CORE-CHPS Software - NWS OHD modeling software and tools
- FEWS - Deltares Flood Early Warning System - main software infrastructure for CHPS
- HEC-RAS - USACE Hydrologic Engineering Center- River Analysis System - hydraulic modeling software
- HEC-ResSim - USACE Hydrologic Engineering Center Reservoir Simulation System
