NCWCP-UMD Mini-Conference

Welcome to the NCWCP-UMD Mini-Conference!

This event will bring together colleagues at the NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Prediction (NCWCP) and the University of Maryland (UMD) to share presentations from recent conferences such as AGU and AMS. This will allow greater sharing of science efforts between organizations including NWS/NCEP, OAR/ARL, NESDIS/STAR, ESSIC/CISESS, and UMD's Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science (AOSC).

There is no online option for the in-person sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Location & Directions

The meeting will be at the Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC) in College Park, MD. It will be in the 4th floor conference room. Tuesday and Wednesday are in-person only. Thursday is online-only.

ESSIC & CISESS are co-located in the University of Maryland Discovery District research park, which resides approximately two miles east of the main University of Maryland College Park campus. The park is adjacent to the College Park-UMD Metro and the College Park MARC Commuter Rail stations & is served by the UMCP Department of Transportation Shuttle-Bus “River Road 109,” from the College Park Metro Station. Facility Access & Security

Visitors to the ESSIC Suite are welcome for this event. Be prepared to show a form of identification (e.g., Common Access Card [CAC], driver's license, or Green Card). Use the visitor entrance in the front of the building and show identification at security.
