48 hour Rainfall values incorrect

In the process of creating a 48 hour rainfall total PNS, I noticed that all ASOS/AWOS reports are not adding the values correctly. They are significantly lower. I noticed a forum post about 10 months ago regarding this same issue.

Hi Angela,

I am aware of that issue. We are going to be porting the observations from our internal database over to using the Synoptic API, as part of building the LSR/PNS functionality into NWS Connect. This process has begun and will be complete in four to five months.
