10Sep2015 - File "NWS GFP_v2_clean.xlsx" was REMOVED and is no longer considered to be part of the baseline set of artifacts for the AWIPS Acquisition. The source of this information going forward is the 10Sep2015 version of Appendix J.8 of the RFP.

24Aug2015 - File "DOC-NOAA IT Security Documentation Request v4.docx " was replaced by DOC-NOAA IT Security Documentation Request v5 20150824.docx". The set of baseline AWIPS Acquisition documents should now contain this new version.

This AWIPS Technical Library Community was founded to support the National Weather Service's AWIPS Contract Recompete effort. Since it is a public-facing repository, it has become a popular reference site for private industry, academia, State and Federal Government, and hobbiests interested in AWIPS.
With the release of the AWIPS Request For Proposals (RFP), the artifacts currently in the AWIPS Technical Library's "Document Library" make up the "baseline" set of artifacts for purposes of the AWIPS acquisition.
If any of these artifacts need to be updated before all acquisition-related activities have been completed, a separate "Document Library" will be created so the "baseline" set of artifacts remains unchanged.

For purposes of the AWIPS Acquisition, the OB14.4.1 source code, installers, executables, documentation, and AWIPS Development Environment (ADE) is considered to be the "baseline" version of AWIPS.
New AWIPS releases will continue to be posted at the server linked by the "AWIPS II Software Download" menubar item, however the OB14.4.1 version will continue to be the "baseline" version for the AWIPS Acquisition. OB14.4.1 and all associated files will remain on that server until the contract has been awarded and all acquisition-related activities have been completed.
