RE: Questions?

Jim...

Thanks so much for setting this up.  This is great!  I do have a question...

When trying to view the VLab Users Guide, it's asking me for a username and password.   How would one go about getting credentials to view this content?

Thanks so much!

Mike,

I didn't realize that the individual sections of the Users Guide were not accessible without logging in.  Since this community was designed to be public-facing, I decided to just remove the link to the Users Guide.  To be honest, there really wasn't much that was applicable to this community's needs -- it was developed for users that are adding content, moving between communities, etc.

Most of the content and actions in the AWIPS Technical Library community should be pretty straightforward.  If anyone has a question on the use/navigation of the site, please ask here and we'll explain it as best we can.

Thanks,
Jim

RE: Questions?

I posted this as a question in the main forum, I apologize for the duplicates.  I just came across this original post...

Having an issue with the "Range Rings" editing menu.  It seems like it repeating listings within the "Fixed Rings", to the point that it goes off the screen.  In turn, it makes it impossible to even scroll down to the "delete" option, in order to clean out inputs.

I have tried deleting the config.xml file within the  </awips2/edex/data/utility/cave_config/user/awips/com.raytheon.viz.core> directory, and restarting, but old values are still showing up.

Has anyone found a workaround to this??

There is a .tgz file (docs_OB20.2.3.tgz) with documentation in it.  It should describe how to install the AWIPS software for the 20.2.3 release.

"There is a .tgz file (docs_OB20.2.3.tgz) with documentation in it.  It should describe how to install the AWIPS software for the 20.2.3 release."

I just downloaded the 7.6GiB OB20.2.3-awips2-ade-PUB.tgz file and there are lots of RPM files and one JAR but no DOC or TXT file with documentation.

I'd like to install this on a MX Linux laptop but need more detail to be sure it will play nicely.

I looked at the CAVE install option but that's old and very limited as to Linux versions.

Thanks
