Impacts of CMORPH on URMA QPE

We have received a good deal of complaints about high NBM PoPs and QPFs over southwestern states and mainly NW Mexico.   We put in a patch on May 11th that mitigated that to a large extent, but not completely.  There appears to be a good deal of non-zero QPE working its way into the analysis that doesn't appear to be realistic.

Here are some recent URMA QPE images that show the issue with a ring of very high (and not correct) QPE along the coastline in NW Mexico including Baja CA.

I am not sure who owns CMORPH.   I would be happy to send this feedback to the CMORPH keepers if that would help.
