GOES-16 Visible Color Map

Are there any more color maps in the works for channels 1 and 2?  The only one accessible in AWIPS 2 at the moment is "VIS_gray_sq-root-12".  With GOES 13, there was a color table which was brighter that could be used with low-light situations (i.e. sunrise/sunset).  This table was located in our Sat>VIS directory and was labeled CA (Low Light Vis).

Tim,

Yes, this is the only color table currently part of the baseline AWIPS for bands 1 and 2.  Another option for those bands would be the linear table.  If you're interested in brightening the imagery, the old Low Light Vis table you mentioned will not appear correct.  The best approach to brighten an image will be to edit the range with the slider bar and experiment until it looks good.  In terms of any other color tables in the works, i'm sure someone will develop a low light visible color table that will achieve the same result, it may appear as a user created color table on the color table repository page:

thanks,
