Can someone please advice the steps to install Cave application v20.2.3 ?
There is a .tgz file (docs_OB20.2.3.tgz) with documentation in it. It should describe how to install the AWIPS software for the 20.2.3 release.
Can AWIPS be installed on linux Mint? new laptop.
I have managed (twice so far) to get AWIPS2 running under Mint using a bit of a workaround: First spin up a redhat based distro (I use a VM) that is supported by the release. You can go through the entire installation sequence on that and get a "working" version (but very slow if you're using a VM owing to display traffic). Once you have that working, you'll find that there's a directory /awips2 on the rpm flavored linux. Copy that whole structure over to mint and run cave. I'm about to do this again as I'm out of date and having trouble getting data to work right.
I have an MSI Creator Laptop with Core i5 , 9th Edition, GeForce RTX, I’m using Linux Mint on the Virtual Machine to setup AWIPS, bc Rocky Linux nor any RHEL based systems keep getting me dependencies errors
