Proxy Server?

14.4.1 Thin Client can be made operational by moving some Java environment variables around. But it still won't display data when using the publicly-available EDEX servers. Is this a "proxy server" setting issue?

RE: Proxy Server?

Yes indeed, its distributed it turns out to use a proxy. To get it NOT to use a proxy, right click on the icon on your deskstop, and find the command line, and remove all but this: "C:\Program Files\Raytheon\AWIPS II\CAVE\cave.exe"

After cave.exe there is an option that needs to be removed. Then it will present a connection window, and you can connect to a standalone EDEX without a proxy.

I also have a fix to make cave work on windows 10. Testing it a bit more but it appears fine. Involves moving some things in the windows environment.

RE: Proxy Server?

Let me know when you get it working well in Windows 10. Having problems with metars/station plots showing up. Mine is now stuck on the NCP page when I boot Cave and crashes.
