Effects of oceanographic variabiltiy on mesopelagic community

Project goals: I am interested in how oceanographic conditions shape the distribution and abundance of mesopealgic fishes within the California Current. I am currently using fisheries acoustics from a long-term NOAA survey (RREA) to address this question. I am planning to utilize satellite data to better characterize surface ocean conditions experienced during the survey.

The datasets I am currently exploring include:
