SST & Ocean Color in Southeast Alaska during HAB events - Courtney Hart

Dataset: NOAA VIIRS SNPP - Chlorophyll  •  Near Real-Time  •  High Resolution  •  750m  •  2015‑Now  •  North Pacific

I collected sediment samples in Southeast Alaska during summer/fall of 2018 - 2020 to quantify the number of Alexandrium cysts in the surface layers. There were extensive phytoplankton (esp. Alexandrium blooms) in 2018 but appeared much contracted in the following two years. I would like to compare SST and ocean color in the spring/summer months prior to my field collections.
