Hi all, I'm a PhD candidate at Oregon State University studying Applied Economics. I'm hoping to learn more about how to connect weather data (particularly swell and wind data) to fishing location data and fishing outcomes data (logbook and fish ticket). I've been working with some ERA5 data. looking to learn more about other sources.

Here are some options for waves and winds.

You can access global WW3 model wave data here (50-km resolution): https://pae-paha.pacioos.hawaii.edu/erddap/griddap/ww3_global.graph

There may be higher resolution wave data available depending on your region of interest.

Satellite Wind Data is available from METOP B - ASCAT:
