ForecastBuilder V10.2 Released

ForecastBuilder v10.2 has been released. A few of the major highlights include:

  • To the Precipitation Type step for NBM some GUI updates and switching up the grid names
  • Simplifying the GUI for the Wx step (much smaller now and important for HCI)
  • Allowing configuration of when to remove QPF at a specific PoP value
  • and more.

You can find all of the updates and install information within the ForecastBuilder documentation.  There is also an overview presentation (with video) available for this release

Looking ahead, we are planning a point release in the next month or so to address populating QPF grids for the CFP on cron (currently the cron populates a large set of weather elements).  Either within this release or another point release a few tropical updates will also occur, e.g. incorporating the NBM TropWind grid.  Finally, as the training mentions, a 10.3 release will start looking at populating SnowAmt and IceAccum from NBM versus deriving.
