WSUP Viewer v4.2 was released on 12/15/2021. Please see version notes below.

New Features:

  • Map Display:

    • New Global domain is available for upper air grids when NBM v4.1 dataset is selected

    • New winter grids are now available when NBM v4.1 dataset is selected

      • 24-hr, 48-hr, and 72-hr expected amounts for snow and ice

      • 1-hr and 6-hr accumulation percentiles for snow and 6-hr accumulation percentiles for ice

      • 1-hr and 6-hr probabilities of specific amounts for snow and 6-hr probabilities of specific amounts for ice

      • Unconditional probabilities of snow, freezing rain, sleet, and rain instead of conditional probabilities of precipitation types

      • Percentiles for snow-to-liquid ratio and snow level

    • New snow-to-liquid ratio color curve

  • Point Vis:

    • RTMA and URMA values can now be plotted on graphs

    • Snow accumulation, ice accumulation, precip type, snow level, and snow-to-liquid ratio are now available for NBM v4.1

    • Relative humidity has been added to NBM v4.0 and NBM v4.1

  • A link to various WSUP tips and tricks can be found in the footer

Bug Fixes:

  • Map Display:

    • Non-10-m wind direction elements now sample properly

    • The version-of-interest is now honored when changing datasets

    • Transport, low-level wind shear, 30-m, and 80-m wind direction elements now display properly

    • When a data overlay is activated (i.e., Sample Points, Contours, Wind Barbs), the forecast slider now preserves the projection. Previously, it snapped to the first, regardless of which projection was selected before the overlay was activate
