Clearly a lot of hard work has gone into making this snazzy
interface. Thanks so much to the developers!
1. There are a lot of new features which look awesome. Some
training or a user guide to cover the more complicated aspects of
these new features and displays for the field would be excellent.
2. Would like to see more map overlays available, and one in
particular would be for the Aviation MWO areas of responsibility
(these are different than Flight Information Regions).
3. The addition of the contours is a fantastic idea and it makes the
images much easier to interpret. While the default values seem
intuitive, it would be nice to be able to adjust the density similar
to how you can adjust the lat-lon grid (contours every 10, every 5,
every 1...etc.) or even allow the user to specify a contour value of
interest (e.g., for IDSS purposes).
4. On the sample point page, it would be nice to adjust the wind
speed distribution graphic to be user defined, instead of static
ranges 0-9, 10-20, 20+ kt.
5. When looking at the GEFS sample point viewer, it would be nice to
have additional available fields and levels added. For upper
air, currently there are 925 mb temperatures, 850 mb temperatures, and
700 mb temperatures and winds. Adding 500 mb temperatures,
for example, would be very helpful. And RH for those levels, as well
as total column precipitable water. There's a lot of potential here.
6. A lot of the features of the Experimental NBM 1-D viewer would be
awesome to migrate onto the WSUP viewer.
