Due to a schedule conflict, the September 2022 VLab Forum will now
take place on Friday, the 30th, at 3:30 – 4:30pm (Eastern Time).
The talk still features a presentation titled "The
Probabilistic Winter Storm Severity Index (PWSSI)" which is
being presented by Joshua Kastman and James Nelson. We hope you can
attend. If you have already registered for the September VLab Forum,
there is no need to reregister.

Abstract:
This talk will cover what the Probabilistic Winter Storm Severity
Index (PWSSI) is. How the PWSSI is produced, including what ensemble
members are used. This presentation will review of the WSSI
algorithms (which are used for PWSSI) and how to optimally use the
PWSSI website
(https://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/wwd/wssi/prob_wssi.php). Ongoing and
future development efforts for the PWSSI will also be discussed.
