Abstract:
The first version of SPC POST was implemented operationally on WCOSS in May. This SPC post-processing application includes HREF calibrated probabilistic thunderstorm and HREF/SREF calibrated probabilistic severe (i.e., tornado, hail, and wind) guidance. This talk will describe the details and methodology behind the guidance along with some information on statistical verification and performance for recent events.
