I hadn't gone through the LIferay Marketplace in a while.  Here are some apps that might be of interest to us:

Document library folder notification - allow users to subscribe to changes within a document library folder

Carousel Portlet - give us the ability to loop through different images within a portlet.

Custom Landing Page Hook - Give us the ability to have groups of users go to different landing pages.

Message Boards Subscription Manager - allows community administrators to see who is subscribed to forum categories.  It also allows you to subscribe other users.  The portlet is not ideal in that you can't see who is subscribed to just threads and it doesn't appear to pay any attention to the community members.  However, it just gives you a way of subscribing any VLab member.

My Subscriptions - Shows all of the users subscriptions under the Application menu in the control panel.  I have added this portlet (developed by Liferay) to dev and production.  The only issue I see is that the "View in Popup" doesn't seem to work for me.  Despite this I believe is is worthwhile having a listing of all of a user's subscriptions and giving them one place to remove the subscriptions.  Moving forward we should look into providing the community name that assets fall in.

Wiki Navigation - Provides a page and tree view to visualize wiki structures.  Written by Liferay.

Device Recognition Provider - Enabled Liferay to detect which mobile device or OS is being used to access the portal.  Moving forward if we try to customize the views and develop mobile themes this could be important.
