Snow Melt in Colorado

GOES-16 captured the rapid snow melt that occurred across eastern Colorado and surrounding states on Monday, 10/15 after the first significant snow of the season occurred on Sunday, 10/16. Below is 15-min visible satellite imagery during the day, showing a rapid decrease in snow cover, especially through the middle of the day.
