According to r4ss help function, SS_RunJitter should run with the hessian on with -nohess added as an extra element in the command. However, when I run SS_RunJitter, the dafault seems to be with -nohess instead.

The default argument to extras is "-nohess". To run with the hessian you need to set extra = "".
Thanks a lot for you quick reply, I guessed it but I think still the help function is confusing, if it is default, we should have "" as extras and not the other way around, bit it might be just me:)
Thanks for the suggestion. I started doing some development to SS_RunJitter yesterday, so I will make sure to update the documentation to make it more clear that the default is to run without the hessian.
