Mean Size at Age Observations

I have mean weight at age observations for landed catch and I included them towards the end of the data file (just before environmental variables). I entered '-1' for AgeErr but I can see from the large negative loglikelihood and CompReport.sso that SS is reading the mean weights at age as mean lengths at age. I attached the files. I am using V3.30.16.00_safe. Has anyone had success using landed weight at age obs?

First off, I want to apologize that you never received a response back on this post. I was revisiting some older issues this morning and realized there was one opened thanks to your observations: https://github.com/nmfs-stock-synthesis/stock-synthesis/issues/97 . In the future, please feel free to post again or to send an email to nmfs.stock.synthesis@noaa.gov if a forum post doesn't recieve any responses.

Thank you for posting about this bug - the fix for it  should have been included in 3.30.17, so hopefully you won't run into the same issue with the latest release of SS. Please feel free to comment again on the post if the same issue persists in 3.30.17!

Aloha Kathryn,

No worries! I know the SS team is very busy responding to lots of requests. I contacted Chantel directly the day after I made the post, and she mentioned they had investigated the issue. Rick sent me a bug-fixed .exe the next day and it worked great. I have not tried landed weights in 3.30.17 yet, but I will certainly post / send a message to you if it doesn't work.
