      1. Updates from the Climate/Disaster 2024 (Phase 1) Pilot

         • April 8th updates:

           • Good Hydrological models, compliant to OGC WPS are available as part of the Birdhouse Climate Resilience application collection:

           • The recording and slides from last week's check in meeting (11 April 2024) are available on the OGC portal.

           • This week's meeting on 18 April will focus on the "3D Visualization of the CDRP Data System"  - Deliverable 124. We're looking forward to hearing from Laubwerk, Navteca and WiTech.

           • A few highlights from last week:

             • We've updated the instructions for the initial ER. You can find them on the CDRP Gitlab Wiki as well as in the shared google doc. Please feel free to draft your contributions directly in the doc or to copy them in when you're ready.  

             • For those of you based in Europe, the EU Innovation Days registration page is available and the schedule is updated - lots of interest here for CDRP participants. 

             • If you're working on a Taiwan-based case study, be sure to check the new data available here.

             • And a note for the coming week: Initial ER contributions are due on the 25 April,

2. The Climate/Disaster 2024 Pilot (Phase 2) Statement of Work proposals for the Sponsor Agreements are due soon. Drafts should be ready by 20.April. 

3. OpenAPI 4.0 is planned to be released in 2024.  An April 12, 2024 blog post summarising the current progress is at https://apisyouwonthate.com/blog/openapi-v4-project-moonwalk/.  Some of the progress can be tracked on GitHub.  The question for OGC API developers is what capabilities should be highlighted as "must-keep" or "must-add" for OpenAPI 4.0?  This GitHub Issue will be closed on Mary 15, 2024.

4. OGC Climate and Disaster Resilience SCCG Monthly Meetings - 2024 Schedule.  Each week we'll meet 11:00-12:30 Eastern.

Updates on NOAA's sponsorship of OGC Climate Pilot and Federated Marine Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) Pilot

1. The combined Climate/Disaster Pilot (2024) Phase 1 has begun.  Details on the pilot can be found here.  The table below are the upcoming milestones:

NOAA’s Return on Investment (ROI) from OGC membership Updates

1. Working on NOAA's Statement of Work (SOW) for Climate/Disaster Pilot 2024 (Phase 2).  The goals and objectives laid out in the SOW will directly impact and support NOAA's goals and objectives  

Where I could use ACDO help 

1. It would be great to get a better understanding on challenges each LO has with respect to webapps disseminating data/metadata, and how OGC standards could help
2. It would be good to get a better understanding of who participates on various OGC Working Groups (whether Domain Working Groups or Standards Working Groups).  I've started a table representation on the community page by LO
3. There was a recent data call on which standards are being used today by each LO.  I would love to expand on this data call to understand what programs, operational web sites/apps are using OGC standards today, and which standards are in place
4. It would be great to establish a subject matter expert list by LO related to OGC standards (i.e. John Doe has substantial expertise working with and setting up Web Map Service (WMS))
