Version 10.6 Released

The 10.6 release of ForecastBuilder is now available.  Note that NH23-001 is a prerequisite.   There are a lot of updates in this release as documented within the ForecastBuilder documentation.  A few of the highlights:

  • light smoothing applied to the p-type grids outside terrain areas
  • Buttons to increase/decrease ice nuclei (think adjusting ProbIcePresent)
  • T/Td tool replacing the Tw slider for Forcing Snow - think back to previous ForecastBuilder versions where you could supply ranges for all rain vs mix vs all snow
  • Default to run the "derive hourly T" tool after the populate
  • Improvements to blowing snow code, especially with sub 2" snow depth
  • Attempts to better handle random baseline getGrids errors and if a siteGfeConfig file sets MissingDataMode = Create
  • Creation of temporary storm total grids

This release also has a training module for forecasters.  Slide show and video.
