An office in WR is having the problem that if they are populating long lead times they get an error because data is not available. I believe this is the "band-aid" applied to WindGust. The "band-aid" tries to use the model time ranges to get data in the Fcst database. There is no check to make sure data is in the Fcst database so an error is raised if there is no data. Is the purpose of the "band-aid" for SuperBlend and not intended for NBM? I wanted to switch it to using NBM WindGust values, but wasn't sure if they were not being used intentionally as well.
