Visibility

One other thing with the Aviation Populate.  Is it possible to have an option to run your visibility off your weather/pop grids?  That would make your weather/pop grids line up with your forecast much better.  CONSSHORT and any other model doesn't do well with visibility in our area in eastern Kentucky.  We typically run our fog, based on temperatures/dewpoints/winds, so with the fog/rain already in the weather/pop grids, it would make sense to run the visibility off the weather/pop, especially given the aviation populate is the last step in the forecast builder process.  Thanks for looking into all of this.

Kevin, The GMAT discussed your questions on our last team call (Friday the 14th) and for your specific situation it appears that the PoT_ValleyFog procedure (under the Edit dropdown menu) could work out nicely given that it does update the Visibility grid based on the Wx grid. So in this scenario you would run that procedure after completing the Aviation Update portion of the ForecastBuilder but before the Aviation Finalize option. This procedure also updates the PoT_Fog, Sky, and CloudBasedPrimary grids as described in the GUI. We recommend that you try it out and provide feedback to the team via Chuck or this forum. Thanks!
