Differing FB especially in POPs

The differences in POPs have been quite acute the past few weeks in many instances. Between offices on different AWIPS builds, offices using different FB techniques, it is difficult to ascertain whether there is an actual data problem or not. I used to edit my edges with the pencil tool to smooth the differences in POPs between my CWA and other's. However will not do that anymore. FB is supposed to save time, so it's going out as is. This is the reason why ultimately we have to go to the NBM.

Spot on exactly why we need to go to NBM.

In the interim, many of the PoP issues we are seeing is related to the stability of receiving the Canadian model in time for SuperBlend (cron kicks off at 0505z/1705Z). That stability can vary from shift to shift and office to office. I as well as Matt Foster at CRH have been working on the stability problems. Matt sent out an e-mail yesterday to SOOs, ESAs and ITOs to ensure each office is only downloading one domain of the HiResWARW/NMM, because these files are huge and occur at the same time as the Canadian is being pulled into each office. For most of CR, we only need the East domain. At my office, we've been now stable for 3 runs in a row since I removed the West domain. So I definitely think we are on to something here.
