R tutorial

I am having trouble loading the package ‘XQuartz’ it is not available (for R version 4.0.2). I see that it needs to be installed separately for new R versions, but when I go to install it I get errors. If I download XQuartz separately I need ITS credentials. Anyone else having trouble here?

Hi Eva,

I'm not familiar with this package, what do you need it for?
You have R 4.02?

Under R tutorial 1 I am trying to run this code segment, I am not sure what this code segment does?

x11(width=6, height=4.85)

Yes I have R version 4.0.2.

This just opens a new graphics window. Jenny had the same issue, weird. You don't really need that line. it's just to make sure it opens a new graphics window of the correct size. The code should run fine without it.

So, it doesn't look like you need it to continue with the tutorial. But could be a problem down the road.
