Transition to WCOSS2

Hi All:

Beginning at 12Z today, the NCEP production suite, including RTMA/URMA/RTMA-RU, is running operationally on a new supercomputer (WCOSS2).

As a reminder, we have several tools available for monitoring the operational RTMA suite:
However, the RTMA, URMA, and RTMA-RU graphics linked from the above time series page have not yet been established on WCOSS2.  These graphics will be restored as resources allow.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

As always, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding RTMA/URMA/RTMA-RU.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi All:

Following the transition of the NCEP production suite, including RTMA/URMA/RTMA-RU, to WCOSS2 on June 28th, it was discovered that observations were not being used to generate the URMA minT and maxT analyses due to a misspecified directory.  In other words, the analyses were derived using only the min (or max) of the hourly analysis and background fields.  This issue was corrected beginning with the maxT analysis valid July 18th and the minT analysis valid July 19th.  We apologize for the initial oversight.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions or feedback.

Thanks,
Matt
