Hi Jack,

We realize that an extended archive would be welcomed for the
WSUP NBM 1D Viewer. We are discussing possible solutions internally
to see if we can make this happen.

We display every hour because certain elements are only available
at non-synotpic hours. Some elements are available on the synoptic
hours. Some elements run at synoptic+1 hours. To be able to
understand what the NBM is doing at all times during the day and for
all elements, we chose to show every hour to be the most transparent
with regards to the data. It also helps the NBM team find any issues
that may show up on non-synoptic hours.

With regards to the MaxT/MinT observations, I believe those
observations would come out after the data we show (last 24 hours)
    ages off.

"Second, as I was using the feature to label the box and
whisker edges, it appears that rather than only showing sampling for
MaxT or MinT, it appears to always show labels from each, which kind
of clutters the sampling/display.  Maybe it's due to time overlap,
and can't be altered to only show one, but maybe it can?"
-- Your image didn't come through here. I'm afraid it's not
totally clear what you mean by this. Can you elaborate?

I'm going to defer to Jeff's team for any plain language
description of each field in the GRIB. Which specific gribs are you
using? The big data project's archive?

  Thanks for the feedback!
  Dana

Are there any plans to expand the number of days/cycles
available in the WSUP NBM 1D Viewer?  I note that one can go
back about 2 months in the older ESRL variant of the WAVE 1D viewer.

I also note you display each and every NBM run/cycle, vs
every 6 hour run.  Maybe you can move to just show every 6
hours, within your space constraints?  Also, I don't see any
MaxT/MinT Observations ever get plotted, as they do in the
ESRL version.  Might that be coming?

Second, as I was using the feature to label the box and
whisker edges, it appears that rather than only showing
sampling for MaxT or MinT, it appears to always show labels
from each, which kind of clutters the sampling/display.
Maybe it's due to time overlap, and can't be altered to only
show one, but maybe it can?

Lastly, not directly related to WSUP, but is there a
plain language description of each and every field in the
NBM's output GRIB files?  A software routine of mine is
choking on decoding some of the fields in the GRIB file,
perhaps for not having up to date GRIB tables for the
            complex codes you use.

          Thanks for all you do!
