Talk Abstract:
The National Water Center within the NWS Office of Water
Prediction has developed an Enterprise GIS system for processing
hydrologic analysis and forecast information from the National
Water Model and River Forecast Centers. This comprehensive system
represents a significant IT architectural deployment that recently
began sharing map services internally among the NWS hydrologic
community. These evolving visualization services represent a new
generation of water resources information that will engender
feedback and can be used for internal situational awareness. This
talk will describe the development of the Enterprise GIS system
and provide an introduction to the map services being provided.
