Good morning--
Yesterday, Central Region reported long delays
in IDSS emails being sent out. After an investigation we found that
the combination of a high number of alerts, the number of
recipients, and the number of offices executing the emails produced
a large queue of emails that caused extended latency. The IRIS
application is working as designed and we have opened a ticket with
the development team to improve this capability.
