Obs monitor not pulling in station data for freezing rain

Hi everyone,

Recently here at the Raleigh office we noticed that not all of the CoCoRHS locations are searchable and today the METARs and ASOS stations at a few of our airports were not options when we tried to send out a FZRA LSR. However, these stations are options when we choose just plain liquid rain as an observation type.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue?

We noticed something similar at Caribou, where there was freezing rain at one of our airports but we didn't see it in IRIS. It seems that these observations are only pulled in if they occurred in the latest hourly ob (I1 in the last hour, I3 in the last hour, etc).

I would also be interested in a way to tally these in a "storm-total" fashion so that the LSR doesn't have to be timed to the observations!
