Sort contacts by last name

When we began using IRIS to manage our contacts list, we short-sightedly imported our existing database using "First Last" format for the name field.  We now would like the ability to sort by last name, so we are considering exporting the whole database, using a script to flip the format to "Last, First", and then re-importing it.

Before we proceed down this route, does any forthcoming version of IRIS implement separate first and last name database fields?

Hi Jake,

No, we've kept the name field as the whole name, not Last and First.

Thanks Matt.  We likely will proceed with changing all the entries to flip the name order.
