On the first (er, third) step, Top Down Grids, the GUI asks to load MaxTwAloft, ProbIcePresent, and ProbRefreezeSleet. If any option is checked, the selected grids are populated. If an option isn't checked, nothing happens to the old grid.
Sometimes we want to toss the old grid, and sometimes we want to keep the old grid. However, novice FB/PoWT users (or even those in a rush) might forget to delete the grid if they don't want it, even if they don't select it. I would like to propose a GUI change to have the forecaster make a positive affirmation of what they want to do:
Grid // Load latest blend // Keep old grids // Delete grids

ProbIcePresent [ ] [ ] [ ]
ProbRefreezeSleet [ ] [ ] [ ]
Just an idea to ensure forecasters make a conscious decision about Top Down grids and don't accidently use old grids when that might not be what they want to happen.
