WSUP Viewer v6.1 Release - Forums - Whole Story Uncertainty & Probabilities Viewer

WSUP Viewer v6.1 was released on 4/13/2023. Please see release notes below.

New Features:

• Map Display:

  • Delta Pie Review tool accessed from right sidebar (<<) that plots the size of differences between past single-value NBM or NDFD forecasts and RTMA/URMA observations.  This new tool can be used to quickly identify times and places that may need closer inspection with the comparisons tool or the component pie charts tool.

  • Station model data overlay under Map Options that shows RTMA/URMA observations (T, Td, Sky, and Wind) matched to past hourly forecasts.  To minimize screen refresh times, station model plots (like contours) are set to draw only at higher zooms by default. 

  • Dashed indicator on forecast time slider that shows the current time. RTMA/URMA observations will not be available for forecast times below the indicator.

  • Optional text labels for custom sample points

  • Updated GIS layers: Coastal Marine Zones, Counties, CWAs, Offshore Marine Zones, Public Forecast Zones, and States

  • Computed average times of element availability now included in Projection Browser accessed from right sidebar

Bug Fixes:

• Map Display:

  • Data URL for active fire perimeters layer is corrected

  • A blue dot is once again displayed when a user selects a station either by clicking the map or via the search window

• Point Vis:

  • Now using operational Blend RH values rather than calculated values
