Delta Options (URL and Color Curves)

I've been looking a bit more in depth at the Delta options available, for potential SR use to aid in our grid policies and operations, and two things I noticed.

1) The same Color Curves nuance, in the Delta Color Curves is present as it is across WSUP, where negative 1 to 0 has a color, where 0 to positive 1 is white (no color).  See image below (I'm not seeing the option to add an image to this post while posting from inside the VLab forum; so I may need to resend image once email bounce comes in).

2) As I make use of the Window option to peruse NBM/NDFD and Delta images, I wonder if there are (or could be) "customizable" URL hooks to make use of that would make repeating (daily) functions (e.g. perusing the same variables, the same few domains, time steps, etc. )  And, even possibly to download or point to those image URLS (from a storymap and/or presentation slides) would be helpful for daily perusals by field managers assessing grid performance.

3) Lastly, I notice on the site's Help (i) page, it states there is no documentation or training on WSUP.  Is that still the case?  Are there any plans, perhaps as part of FY23 funding (I saw a 2-pager as part of FY23 AOP discussions (even accidentally edited it before saving off a copy, oops) to develop documentation/training, before I strike out on my own for SR.  I've got a draft started, but don't want to reinvent any wheels already out there?

4?) I also noted the Domain choices in the Viewer, have FEMA regions, but not NWS regions.  The Southern Plains domain suffices for Southern Regions nice enough, as far as I can tell, but for any URL hooks that might be able to be built, it might be nice to have NWS regions as domain options.

Adding image of Color Curves.

5) Also, as I perused the various available projection times from the NDFD, to do some comparisons based on suggested NBM init times, collaboration windows, and publish-NDFD-by times, I saw some gaps in matching up times, but I realize each and every time step cannot be created.  The one example I ran into was comparing 13Z NBM run times, with an NDFD offset of 7 hours (to 20Z).  Looks like options to get a match across various systems might need to be at 21, 22, or, probably best, 00Z.

Another attempt at adding an image.

Jack,

Thanks for your feedback.

1)  We will shift the delta color bar to center white on zero.

2)  We will look into making the NDFD Big Data Archive viewer bookmarkable.   This will enable you to link to NBM, NDFD, and comparison images by URL.

3)  You need to go through the NWS documentation/training prioritization process for this.  I am not aware of anyone currently working on WSUP documentation or training at the national level.

4)  We can easily add NWS Regions as domain options.
