Bad station in Forsyth, MT

We're noticing some really warm temps coming from Forsyth, MT (getting into URMA & NBM) and I think the reason is a cwop station that consistently reports 5-6° too warm. It is site E1247. Can you please blacklist this station so it doesn't corrupt URMA & the NBM? I have attached images of the station/location and an example DESI probability. Thanks!   -joe

There seems to be another bad station too...a HADs station at Edgar, MT (EDGM8). Daytime temps seem okay but nights are much too warm (I've seen things like that at other HADs stations...temps aren't always dependable). Also, the location of Kilo (K1KM) is off. It should be a little north of where I see it plotted. I have attached an image with the correct lat/long. Thanks!

Hi Joe,

I will get these two stations added to the reject list, as resources allow.  In general, we prefer these requests be submitted by the SOO using the Google form embedded in the RTMA/URMA VLab page at: https://vlab.noaa.gov/group/715073/observation-qc-requests

Regarding the location of Kilo (K1KM), the following page lists the location as 46.45N, 109.8W, which matches what we have currently.  https://metar-taf.com/airport/1KM-kilo-weather-station

I should also note that K1KM reports as both a METAR and mesonet station, and is, therefore, assimilated twice.  If you'd like, we could potentially add the mesonet station to the reject list, so that only the METAR reports are used going forward.  Please let us know if you'd like to do this.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Joe,

E1247 and EDGM8 were both added to the reject list for temperature last Friday.

Thanks,
Matt
