WSUP Viewer v7.2 Release

WSUP Viewer v7.2 was released on 7/1/2024. Please see release notes below.

 

New Features: 

  • Map Display:

    • Probabilistic storm surge datasets:

      • P-Surge (for tropical cyclones for which the model was run)

      • P-ETSS 625m operational and developmental (00z,06z,12z,18z)

      • P-ETSS 2.5km (00z,06z,12z,18z)

      • Storm surge station pop-up windows linked to NOAA Tides and Currents, National Water Prediction Service gauge forecasts, and latest P-ETSS hydrographs

    • Map Option for low-bandwidth users to turn off auto-image loading for every interaction (map move, element change, etc.)

    • Elements: HeatRisk (NDFD), Snow24 (URMA)

    • Fire Weather Zones GIS layer

    • NDFD extreme snow amount color table

    • The last 10 days’ worth of URMA precip data are now reprocessed on a daily basis

 

Fixes and Tweaks:  

  • Map Display:

    • NBM CONUS QPF01 now displays the first 100 hourly projections instead of the first 36 projections

    • Seasonal color tables no longer change when the user selects a date in a different season

    • Updated GIS layers: counties, CWAs, high seas marine zones, coastal marine zones, offshore marine zones, public forecast zones, states

    • United States boundaries have been removed from the World Countries GIS layer

    • The forecast slider handle displays the correct valid time

    • Alaska terrain now samples properly

  • Point Vis:

    • NBM v4.2 data is now shown when v4.2 is the active dataset and dProg/dt mode is on
